After a few discussions with the sponsor it appears that many of the implications of quitLock and delegate are well known. However, the documentation should be updated to make these implications very clear to users. In particular, users should understand that:
If they wish to undelegate after delegating they will need to increase their lock time to at least that of the delegatee.
If they delegate to a user and then that delegatee calls quitLock that this voting power is lost from the system unless they increase their lock time to be at least as long as the delegatee and undelegate. If they don't choose to increase their lock time then they will effectively have no voting power until their lock expires.
